How long does it take to heat up?

Approximately 30 seconds

Should I use hot water or cold water?

You should always use cold water. If you live in a hard-water area, we recommend using distilled water.

What floor type can I use the Steam Mop with?

The steam mop is designed for use on all sealed hard floor surfaces e.g. Laminate, Hardwood, Marble, Tile, Stone.

Can you clean the inside of an oven?

No, this product is designed to clean hard floors only.

Does this include an upholstery attachment?


Is it free standing?


Does this include a carpet glider?

No, however it will be available soon as an accessory to groom and freshen carpeting or area rugs.

What type of water can I use with the Shark Steam Mop?

You can use cold tap water and if you live in a hard-water area, we recommend using distilled water.

How do I clean the Shark Dirt Grip Pads?

Machine-wash the Dirt Grip Pads separately with warm water using liquid detergent. Never use bleach, powdered detergent or fabric softeners as they may damage or leave a coating on the Dirt Grip Pads that will reduce their cleaning performance and absorbency. They should be line-dried or tumble-dried on a low setting.

Does this clean carpets?

No, this steam mop is not designed for carpet cleaning.

What temperature does the water heat up to?

Approx. 160°C

What is the purpose of the Steam Blaster?

The Steam Blaster feature is great when you need an extra burst of steam to clean a stuck-on stain.

Does the Steam Mop disassemble?

The mop head is removable from the main body but the handle is not.
